Records & lists

Objects, records and attributes

The data model in three words.

An object is a kind of thing — Stakeholders, Grants, Students. A record is one of them. An attribute is a column: what you track about each record.

Forms create records automatically; you can also add them by hand on the Records page. Opening a record shows its fields and its activity — the emails, notes and changes that happened to it.

Attributes

Add a column from the table header, pick its type (text, number, date, select, status, checkbox and more), and it exists for every record of that object. Column widths you drag are saved on the attribute, so a column keeps its width across views.
